As a couple we enjoy hiking, backpacking, camping, and eating treats at the drive-in movies during the summer months. During the winter we like to take advantage of the beautiful snow-covered mountains in Utah by skiing, snowshoeing, and watching our puppy Charlie romp around eating snowballs.
Katie is a Registered Nurse. She works in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit and loves working with the babies. So much so, in fact, that we want to have our own.
Katie is also an expert photographer – you can check out some of her Flickr pictures here. She also enjoys playing the piano and making extravagant cakes (check out the pictures). She also made top 5 in American Idol Season 2 and was voted Miss Universe in 2007 – just kidding. 
She currently is the ward organist and in the past has served as the Stake Young Women’s Camp Director – which was a great experience.
Justin is a founding partner in a software development company (nerd). He’s a businessman and a technology-geek who loves fitness (running, in particular), and playing the guitar.
While he can successfully pass most Guitar Hero songs on “Difficult”, he prefers playing (and is more proficient at playing) the real guitar.
In 2010 he ran his first marathon – when he’s not running, Justin enjoys mountain biking and other outdoor activities.
Justin currently serves in the ward Young Men’s Presidency and absolutely loves going to scout camp every year with all of those dirty, stinky boys.
Wow, where to start. What a fun little guy. Charlie Brown (named after his brown ears and brown patches of hair) loves the outdoors. He likes camping, hiking, and backpacking – especially when he gets to rub his face in some mud or go swimming in a small stream. He’s a small dog, but in his mind he’s the biggest dog in the world. He’s also got the biggest heart in the world – so full of love and happiness that Katie now wants another dog (sometimes she forgets that we’re trying to grow our family with children, not puppies).
